Daylily Always Afternoon, Hemerocallis 'Always Afternoon' is a Designer Daylily™ with perfectly formed 5" rosy-purple flowers with a dark plum eye and green throat. 'Always Afternoon' is considered a "Designer" daylily, which means that it has been selected as a highly performing plant with exceptional bloom performance, substantive, vibrantly colored flowers, complete winter hardiness in northern zones, and a vigorous habit. It makes a dazzling display of color in early season, followed by good rebloom later. 'Always Afternoon' is a tetraploid cultivar that has received numerous awards including the 1997 Stout Silver Medal, the American Hemerocallis Society's highest honor. Daylilies are some of the easiest plants to grow and are a good choice for any gardener. They will grow in almost any soil and handle drought to wet soil conditions.
