Coneflower - Summer Sky

Coneflower Summer Sky, Echinacea 'Summer Sky' (PP#18,783), is a delightful new coneflower with bicolor flowers! The large 5" flowers are light orange with a rose colored halo and orange cone.

A member of the Big Sky™ series, and one of the most popular varieties we offer, it is appropriately name since this new echinacea resembles the colors of a romantic summer evening sky!

It is known to hold its stunning flower color longer than other coneflowers. The flowers are held on very stout stems and make an exciting cut flower.

For best results, plant in full sun in a well drained area. Echinacea is known for its large flower heads that turn to seed in the fall. It is a great choice for cut flowers, and it adds a wilderness look to your garden.

Not only is it a prized perennial for many gardeners, but it is also said to be a potent medicine. Echinacea is said to increase immune function, reduce the effects of cold and flu, and fight off viral, bacterial and fungal infections.
