Coneflower - Secret Desire

Double Color, Double Blooms

Echinacea Secret Desire (Coneflower), Echinacea 'Secret Desire', produces stunning, large double multicolored blooms of pink and orange.

This mid-size plant, with beautiful aromatic flowers, is a vigorous grower and forms a plant quickly.  A mainstay in a garden, ‘Secret Desire’ is not a secret to gardeners any longer!

It is a long lasting flower that attracts butterflies and hummingbirds and is great in cut flower arrangements!

The bright, intense pink and orange flowers are supported on strong stems; best if grouped or massed.  This Echinacea will present a season full of daisy-like flowers and is praised for its prolonged blooming after other perennials have faded.

Divide clumps when they become overcrowded (about every 4 years).

'Secret Desire' usually reblooms without deadheading, but if spent flowers are removed, this procedure will encourage continued beautiful blooms and improves general appearance.

Highly fragrant, this coneflower keeps coming all summer on tall plants with excellent branching.  This plant is deer resistant.

If you leave some spent blooms on the plants in fall their seeds provide winter food for birds.

The dried seed heads will provide architectural interest in the winter and food for overwintering birds.

Don’t keep this plant a secret any longer!  'Secret Desire' is an outstanding flower that becomes a mainstay in any garden.  It will bring a brilliant display to a sunny location!
