Clematis - Blue Light

Huge Double Blue Blooms

Clematis Blue Light, Clematis 'Blue Light®', is an exceptional Clematis that boasts fully double 5-6" flowers of violet blue.

Blue Light is an exceptionally free flowering variety and a nice compact grower. Perfect size for an impressive container planting!

Enjoy the blooms in late spring through early summer and then again from late summer until fall!

Clematis 'Blue Light®', needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs and over walls.

Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply a generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine.

Blue Light is a very good performer once established and they take a season or two to get going.

Prune this plant after first flowering by cutting back the top one-third to one-half of some stems.
