English Countryside Aster, Aster 'English Countryside', makes a fabulous performance each year regardless of environmental conditions. It's the belle of the garden and no one can resist its beauty.


It makes a dramatic statement in your late summer garden with beautiful lavender-blue blooms, tinged with pink, for a 6 week period.


English Countryside Aster plants form robust clumps and produce a profusion of these daisy-like flowers. It attracts butterflies and is lovely in bouquets.


To increase bloom time, deadhead after the first initial flowering. English Countryside Aster will do best in a full sun area with morning shade and well-drained soil.


It should not stay wet while in dormancy.


Use this plant in borders, mass plantings, in perennial gardens and butterfly gardens.


Pinching back the stem tips in late spring and early summer will produce denser growth and heavier blooming. This plant may be divided every few years in the spring.
