Gold Leaves and Blue Bells
The Bellflower Dickson's Gold, Campanula garganica 'Dickson's Gold', has wonderful lavender blue star shaped flowers over yellow-light green to gold saw toothed mounds of foliage. If it is grown in part shade, the foliage will be more chartreuse.
The lavender blue flowers bloom spring through summer and are a stark contrast to the 4"-6" foliage. It is drought tolerant once established and should be planted in full sun or partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil
This ground cover is best used in rock gardens, borders, spilling over walls, and as an edging or in tubs and pots. It attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees, but resists deer and rabbits.
The contrast of blue flowers against the yellowish foliage makes this variety stand out in the border.
