The Cambridge Scarlet Bee Balm, 'Monarda didyma 'Cambridge Scarlet’, is a clump-forming perennial producing bright, vibrant red flowers amid aromatic, lance-shaped foliage in summer; stems are square.
It is ideal for borders where it attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. The flowers are edible and the leaves can be used to flavor apple jelly and salads.
Dried flowers and leaves are used in potpourris.
