Astilbe - Visions in White
Red Plumes Over Bronze Foliage
The Astilbe Chinensis Visions in White, 'Astilbe Chinensis PPAF', produces a mulitude of large, fragrant, soft, white, triangular flowers that float above bronze green foliage for weeks.
The ‘Visions in White’ is a robust plant with linen white plumes that offer a striking contrast against the mound of glossy, dark bronze green, lacy foliage.
These mid summer blooming beauties are also ideal for containers, and gardens on the edge of woodlands. For maximum color and impact, mass astilbe in groups in partly shaded gardens. They are heat tolerant and will bloom until late summer, attracting butterfiles and hummingbirds.
Astilbe needs well drained, but moist and highly organic soil; humusy forest gardens are a perfect example of where these plants will thrive, but these will tolerant drier soils than other Astilbes. They are diease, deer and rabbit resistant.
The bright clear fragrant flowers reflect dappled sunlight in gardens for a dazzling effect. Drifts of this ‘Visions in White’ Astilbe are stunning and add an elegantly refined display in the landscape!
