Fast-Growing Durable Turf Grass

Legacy Buffalo Grass is a variety of Buffalo grass developed by the University of Nebraska.  Its dense canopy of fine leaf blades creates a very soft carpet which is perfect for lawn activities.

It has a dark blue-green color and only grows 3 to 5 inches high.  It’s lush and soft while at the same time durable and hardy.

Legacy Buffalo Grass was developed to have the look of bluegrass with the hardiness of Buffalo grass, and it certainly achieved that aim.

It will flourish in high sun but also tolerate the shady spots in your yard. Its deep roots mean that it requires 75% less water than other turf grasses.

An Established Lawn in as Little as 90 Days!

You will receive Accelerated Growth Plugs, the economical way to a buffalo grass lawn.  Planting is quick and easy. With proper care, you can have an established lawn in as little as 90 days

Plugs come as 70 per tray and are grown in greenhouses to ensure quality. We recommend one to four plugs per square foot of lawn depending on how dense you'd like it to be and how quickly you'd like it to fill in.

Your lawn will be among the first in the neighborhood to green up in the spring, and the vibrant color will last long into fall.

easy to care for Review by Old Ed
Less is more, at least it is for me with some age to account for. I put my plugs in last year and I just about have a completely filled in buffalo grass lawn with way less work than I had to do when planting grass seed. Plugs, in my opinion, is the way to go.
Water useage Review by Joe
My legacy plugs have spread nicely and they do not require the water and mowing of many other type of grasses. I am very pleased with this product. It does what you said it would.
Green Lawn Review by Terra
My legacy buffalo grass is starting to show some green. It is much earlier than the fescue I have in the back yard.
Fast spreader Review by Digger
I planted my plugs about 9 inches apart. They are almost completely filled in after 2 years. My old lawn mower will last a couple more years as I do not use it much on the buffalo grass.
Mark Review by Mark
I bought these plugs a year ago. Most survived the dry summer we had last year in Flagstaff. I live at about 6600' in elevation which is considered too high for the grass. But now the second year it is taking off, sending out stolons up to two feet from the plug. Its completely taking over the bare area in which it was planted. I only watered it when the plugs were first planted and it will stay green through just about any drought. Don't expect much growth during extended drought though.
