Hellebore Ivory Prince
Shade Loving Evergreen
The Hellebore Ivory Prince PP16199, 'Helleborus x 'Walhelivory', is a cool climate, vigorous growing perennial.
The blue green, leathery, evergreen foliage is shrub-like and is the canvas for the lovely, creamy white blooms that blush pink as they mature.
Hellebore ‘Ivory Prince’ is compact and shorter than most hellebores, and it is incredibly floriferous with upward facing waxy blooms in green, shading to ivory and tinged in pink!
The ‘Ivory Prince’ prefers part shade and rich soil. ‘Ivory Prince’ requires a moist, shaded site and responds especially well to planting under deep-rooted deciduous trees such as Oaks or Crab Apples.
‘Ivory Prince’ will bloom in late winter to early spring and will reach 12 to 18 inches tall and 18 to 24 inches wide. Hellebores are easy to care for; trim back last year’s foliage in the spring. They are deer and rabbit resistant, and drought tolerant once rooted.
They make excellent patio and container plants and are useful in woodland shade.
Hellebores generally prove tenacious and long-lived!
