Heliotrope - Marine

The Heliotropium Marine, 'Heliotropium arborescens', produces purple flowers that smell of fresh vanilla.

They are quick to bloom and have a very compact habit.

Plant the Marine in full sun or light shade in fertile and well-drained soil.

This plant is a great choice for mixed planters with its rich foliage and purple flower clusters. This plant also looks appealing in borders!

The Heliotropium plant is often called Heliotrope and is great for attracting butterflies.

Pinching this plant will encourage blooming and deadheading will promote continuous bloom.

In warmer zones this plant can also be a perennial.

* Heat tolerant
* Fragrant
* Easy to grow

Nice plant Review by lakeguy
Great smelling plant, like vanilla, but had alot of disease problems. After planting it , the leaves turned black and curled up and alot fell off. Sprayed it with an all purpose bug/disease product. The funny thing was the flowers still bloomed and smelled great. Going to give it another shot next year , after I read more about it. Didnt buy it from Nature Hills.
