Heavenly Bamboo Sunray
The Nandina Sunray(R), 'Nandina domestica 'Greray', has new growth that beams with hues of bright copper and bronze, and even a brick-red in winter, highlighting the dark-green foliage on this evergreen shrub.
This dense, compact, Nandina is used as a small hedge or foundation plantings, and matures at 36-40 inches. The leaflets are narrower and longer than those of the species.
This plant is symmetrical, dense, and mounding in a compact form. Follow the seasons with copper and bronze leaves in the spring, green in the summer, and red in the winter.
Pruning will enhance the looks of this plant and display the interesting shapes of the branches. Prune in late winter or early spring by removing up to 2/3rds of the vertical canes.
