The Peach, Hale-Haven, Prunus persica, is a high quality peach that has a deep orange color all over with deep blushes of carmine. The brilliant color of the fruit appears several days before the fruit ripens. The pulp of the Hale Haven peach is firm, juicy, very sweet and richly flavored, being fully ripe in August.

The Hale-Haven peach is a freestone peach has an excellent flavor so is good for desserts, canning and freezing. Easy to grow, it needs clear, hot weather during the growing season and requires well-drained soil as well as a regular fertilizing program.

Awesome Hale Haven Peach Tree Review by LadyGardener
I purchased this tree in the fall of 2011(Oct.) It is a dwarf tree standing only at about 4 ft. I planted and fertilized it with 10-10-10 in a 3 foot circle. We had an unexpected frost and I covered the tree with black plastic. None of the blooms were killed. Summer of 2012 this tree exceeded my expectations. It produced at least 20 large peaches and they were sooo good. This little tree produced better than all of my peach trees which are much larger. Of course, I used bird netting to keep the squirrels and birds from tasting them-and it was well worth the wait. Those peaches were the absolute best! They were rich in taste and they had no blemishes. If I could find another dwarf Hale Haven, I would definitely purchase it. Cant wait to see what it is going to do on year 3.
Sweetest Darn Peach Ever! Review by Ms.MackinGeorgia
I planted this peach tree in March of 2008. IN 09, we had a hard freeze in April all the peaches were lost. 2010 was my first harvest and man were these worth the wait. Sugary sweet peach and very, very prolific. I counted 75 peaches on the tree, then stopped counting. I was very impressed since the tree was so young. Everyone raved about the flavor of the peach. Delicious. My elberta did nothing in comparison although peaches were much larger on the elberta. The only CON: peaches were small, but not unreasonably.
