The Grass 'Hardy Pampas', Saccharum ravennae, is an ornamental perennial grass forming a clump. Flower plumes extend 9 to 12 feet above the blades and resembles pampas grass, but hardier. This ornamental grass offers a lovely four season interest. Hardy Pampas is great when used as a single specimen which makes a striking accent or focal point! Use as a specimen, screen, hedge, or screen and where a dramatic height is desired; makes great arrangements. Hardy Pampas is best grown in dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun. This grass will not thrive in moist and/or fertile soils where it usually needs support. Provide shelter from strong winds.
