Grass - Adagio Maiden

The Grass 'Adagio Maiden', Miscanthus sinensis 'Adagio', is a compact clump-forming grass with slender silvery foliage.  The flowers emerge pink in summer, changing to silvery white in the fall.

The late season bronzy flower plumes that rise above the foliage can reach 5 feet tall.  In cool climates the foliage has a late fall seasonal change of color turning orange, gold and burgundy!

'Adagio Maiden' is an ornamental grass that starts growing later than most other plants.  This drought tolerant, low growing grass works well in a container, as an accent plant or for a privacy hedge; looks great near a pond too!

'Adagio Maiden' is easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade.  Having an excellent dwarf form, this grass is tolerant of a wide range of soils from well-drained sandy soils to the heavy clays.  Foliage and flower plumes persist well into winter providing good winter interest.

Needing little care and moderately cold hardy, 'Adagio Maiden' grass is happy to oblige almost anywhere!
