Legacy Buffalo Grass was developed to have the look of bluegrass with the hardiness of Buffalo grass, and it certainly achieved that aim.
It will flourish in high sun but also tolerate the shady spots in your yard. Its deep roots mean that it requires 75% less water than other turfgrasses.
If the conditions get harsh, such as in times of excessive heat or drought, Legacy Buffalo Grass will simply go dormant until more favorable conditions return.
Your grass will quickly spread and grow so dense that it will even choke out many weeds. We recommend one to four plugs per square foot of lawn depending on how dense you'd like it to be and how quickly you'd like it to fill in.
Your lawn will be among the first in the neighborhood to green up in the spring, and the vibrant color will last long into fall.
