Pennisetum Fireworks, Pennisetum setaceum 'Fireworks', is the first variegated purple fountain grass, and it gives an uplifting new look to an old time favorite ornamental grass. Each long thin blade of grass provides variegated stripes of white, green, burgundy and hot pink running the length of the blade. Fireworks looks great as a center piece in combination containers, or will provide a spectacular display of color In the garden or landscape; plant as an accent or in mass. This ornamental grass prefers well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Watering can be reduced after establishment.
