The Grass 'Evergold Sedge', Carex hachijoensis 'Evergold' is a semi-evergreen sedge with lovely green and creamy yellow, variegated leaves. This compact variety matures into a mounded shape.
Evergold Sedge is a Japanese grass that tops out at 12 inches high, and spreads up to 2 feet. The cascading clump of evergreen leathery leaves, are perfect for boarder plantings. The sunny cream-colored striped leaves are sure to draw eyes to your landscape!
'Evergolds' will tolerate dry conditions, but prefers sites with moist, rich soil. This sedge is perfect for areas in partial shade.
A choice plant for edging or in the rock garden. It is a great container plant as well as a good ground cover.
