The Barberry - Burgundy Carousel, Berberis thunbergii 'Bailtwo' is an excellent accent or hedging plant. It would also be good as a barrier plant because of it's thorns. I imagine the bunnies and other animals that like to feast on your garden would be discouraged. Maybe even a neighbor or...
