    tulips

    Hi

    My name is anne . I live in Tx.I have been a gardner most of my 62 yrs...However with all of the bulbs i have in the ground and in pots.

    i now am faced with a problem, Thier is something eating my tulips,the tops and the entire bulb and these are planted is pots.The ones in the ground

    are fine.

     

    Can any one tell me what types of critters eat tulps.

    Hi Anne, and welcome to our community. Tulip and crocus bulbs are like candy to some critters. Squirrels, chipmunks, skunks, mice, moles and probably some more that don't come to mind right away. Some of these critters probably wouldn't bother plantings in pots but squirrels surely will and depending upon your setting urban or rural you can't rule almost anything out. There is blog post on this community about using wire mess to deter squirrels. Just search squirrels on the community search space and it will return that post. Thank you for the great question!
