"Cucurbita Table Queen (USDA Organic) Acorn Squash, Cucurbita pepo 'Table Queen', is considered by some to be one of the best table squashes.


Table Queen' is an excellent choice for baking. The 6"" long, acorn-shaped fruit has a hard, dark green rind with ribs and yellow to orange flesh, and although good for storage, it is best eaten before the skin changes to yellow.

After harvest, this squash should be ripened for 30 days in a cool location. Table Queen Squash is a prolific bush version that can tolerate poor soil, and it is an heirloom acorn squash with high yields. It needs plenty of room to sprawl.
