The Variegated Elderberry, Sambucus nigra 'Marginata', hasleaves with broad golden yellow margins at first, later fading to white-yellow.  It has lacy, variegated, white-edged foliage and tasty berries.The affect is striking, creating a soft elegant appearance for your home landscape.

In the spring, your Elderberrys' branches will be graced by 5-8 inch, flat clusters of scented white flowers which later develop into black berries. Those unusual tasting berries are delicious in pies, jellies, jams, and wine.

The Elderberry also has a long history of medicinal uses. Elderberries contain more phosphorus and potassium than any other temperate fruit crop and it also rich in vitamin C.
