Cuthbert Grant Rose
The Cuthbert Grant rose boasts fragrant clusters of 3 to 6 dark red velvet double blossoms. The clusters develop on long slender stems.
This rose develops an early first bloom and then develops a second burst of flowers in the fall. The fall flowers may be more purple than red.
Cuthbert Grant is one of the Canadian Explorer series roses and was bred in Canada so it is super hardy.
The foliage is glossy green and the plant is resistant to disease such as blackspot, powdery mildew and rust. The foliage turns yellow in the fall.
Cuthbert Grant prefers moist, well-drained soils. It is not particular of soil pH levels or soil types.
Use this plant in general garden applications, mass plantings, and hedges and screens.
