Colorful, Hardy Ornamental

The Crape Myrtle is a deciduous small tree or shrub that provides brilliant color all summer long.  Plant one in your ornamental bed or anywhere you’d enjoy an enduring splash of color.
The best feature of the Crape Myrtle is certainly the stunning scarlet performance it enacts each year.  Beginning in early summer and continuing into the fall, your Crape Myrtle will dazzle you with its clusters of crimson blossoms that appear as fiery plumes at the tips of its branches.

The crepe-like flowers are delicate and robust at the same time, and sure to turn the heads of any passer-by.
Crape Myrtle grows 10-20 feet in height with an 8-10 foot spread.  It won’t give you any trouble if you chose to prune it to a small shape, and it’s drought tolerant and quite hardy.

You’ll love how the Crape Myrtle seems to be always awash in color.  Even the leaves start out as a charming bronze in the spring.  They then transition into a verdant green that endures throughout the summer months.  When fall arrives your Myrtle will once again immerse itself in color as its leaves transform into brilliant reds and yellows.
The fruits begin as a green capsule that eventually turns black and often remains on the bare branches into winter, giving your Crape Myrtle the delightful appearance of a decorated tree.
The Crape Myrtle has something to offer whatever the season, and it will certainly offer you enjoyment for years to come.

Nice packaging Review by Talker
I was very Impressed with how my red crape myrtle was packaged. Nature Hills tries very hard to keep the plant safe while travelling. I was especially impressed in how they secured the plant in the box to keep it from moving and damaging any branches.
Long bloom period Review by Henry J.
Red is my favorite color and the red crape myrtle produces a lot of red flowers for a long time. Very easy to care for plant.

Flower color Review by Happy
I am ordering a red crape myrtle to plant between my 2 white ones. I think the contrast will be fun to observe. I only hope they are about the same size.
Pruning Review by June Bug
I thought I had pruned my crape myrtle a little too much a year ago but it came back quickly and I just love the red flowers.
