 Fast-Growing Seedless Cottonwood

The Siouxland Cottonwood is a fast growing tree that would look great in a stand along a driveway or border, or as an accent tree.

If you don’t like the fluffy fall seeds of poplars, then the Siouxland Cottonwood may be for you.  The Siouxland is a male cultivar of the Cottonwood, so doesn’t produce seed.

It still has all the endearing features of the Cottonwood, but without the mess.

Extremely fast growing, hardy and easy to care for, the Siouxland will provide you with years of carefree beauty.

The Siouxland can grow to a majestic 70 feet tall with a spread of 40 feet.

Its grey/whitish bark gives a distinctive flair, and the heart-shaped leaves rustle on the slightest of breeze.

The foliage is a light green with a lighter green or even silvery shade on the underside.  This aids it in catching the sun’s rays and drawing the eye as it dances on the wind.

In the fall that dancing foliage turns to a delightful yellow shade before winter enforces its time of rest.

The Siouxland is a Cottonwood sure to please.  It’s a no-mess, no-fuss tree that will provide you years of beauty and enjoyment.

Seedless tree Review by Roger W
I would like to congratulate whoever the person was who made the Siouxland Cottonwood seedless. I get tired of digging the seeds out of my air conditioner each spring that fly in from my neighbors.
Seedless Review by Hank
I moved into an area with a bunch of cottonwoods and they are not seedless. I wish they had planted the seedless variety! Like the trees, hate the flying cotton like seeds!
Cottonwood trees Review by Andrea Wilson
My husband and I live in a sandy area. We thought we would have no shade. We bought 2 Cottonwood trees. We (along with our neighbors) were amazed at how fast these trees grew. We watered well initially but after that, a few waterings along with rain, was all it needed!!!
Love these trees Review by mlucas1959
I live in Williams Arizona in the alpine dessret. In 2004 four I had 5 trees that were about 5 ft tall. They are now almost 25 feet tall. I'm getting about 5 - 8 ft a year. I planted another one about 5 ft three years ago. It about 15 ft.
Bugs! Review by brown thumb
I planted this tree in December,2005. Last spring it grew about 2.5 feet but by August it had developed mites and lost about half of its leaves. This year was an exact repeat of last. Seven kills the mites but when the tree grows to a larger size I really wont be able to fight them. Also, this year and last have been extremely hot with no rain. Ive finally taken to watering it in hopes that it will help the tree fight disease and the mites. I really cant complain about the tree, as growing conditions here have been horrible since I planted it. I hope it survives but am not too optimistic.
