Mama Mia Coneflower
Echinacea Mama Mia (Coneflower), Echinacea 'Mama Mia', has 26" tall spikes of salmon-orange flowers that age to a nice coral peach, and will surely to be a hit in any garden!
With an impressive habit and long bloom time, Mama Mia will entertain you and put on a fabulous show all summer if planted in a mass in a sunny location.
Mama Mia blooms from late spring-early summer thru late summer. The long lasting flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds and are great in cut flower arrangements!
The bright, intense flowers are supported on strong stems. This Echinacea will present a season-long colorful display of daisy-like flowers.
Divide clumps when they become overcrowded (about every 4 years). Mama Mia usually re-blooms without deadheading, but if spent flowers are removed, this procedure will encourage continued beautiful blooms and improve general appearance.
Coneflowers are used as accent plants or in mixed borders, open woodlands, and mass plantings.
If you leave the coneflower seed heads on the plant at the end of the season, they will provide winter interest and food for native songbirds.
