Fast Growing Tree with Amazing Spring and Fall Color!

The Callery Pear tree, Pyrus calleryana, 'callery X Aristocrat cultivar', is a tight, narrow, pyramidal, thornless, ornamental pear tree.  The growth habit is dense, narrowly pyramidal, and evenly branched with crisp glossy green foliage; some specimens appear almost columnar in habit.  Oval, glossy green leaves turn an attractive reddish purple in autumn.

New growth shows a reddish tint.  It displays a heavy abundance of single white flowers in the spring and an outstanding reddish-orange to purple fall color.

This deciduous tree is a true four season tree with white flowers in early spring, shiny, dark green foliage in summer that changes to long lasting, dramatic shades of red and purple in mid to late autumn.  In winter the tight, narrow form is a refined silhouette in the landscape.

Callery Pear trees are very hardy and fast growing, and are an excellent choice for a trouble-free, beautiful addition in any landscape situation!

love this tree and this nursery Review by lauriemac316
I orderd 2 bare root chanticleer pear trees fall of 09,(they were under 5 feet tall) they came in the spring of 2010, when they arrived my fiancee laughed and said we will be digging those dead sticks up in no time. I followed all of the directions to the letter. In no time at all they had buds then flowers then leaves. We protected the trunk and even the horrible winter didnt damage them. This spring they came right to life and i'm happy to report that its mid May and they are already taller than me probably closer to 6 feet if not more.
BEWARE RABBITS Review by jones
Excellent tree but when they are young make sure you protect the trunk in the winter.Snow makes it difficult for the rabbits to find food and they will peel the bark from the trunk like a bannana. I lost three trees that way
