Rose - Red Meidiland® - Shrub
Red Meidiland® Rose, Rosa 'MEIneble' (PP7,116), is covered by small, dense leaves of glossy dark green.
It produces clusters of single red roses (to 3” diameter) with white centers and yellow stamens in a continuous bloom from May to frost. The flowers have no fragrance.
The blooms are borne in sprays of seven to fifteen. The end of the season brings a special attraction as orange-red fruit persists along bronze winter stems.
This rose has its own root. The advantage of own root roses is that once established they are very resilient. If winter's freezing breezes kill the top growth, the rose will grow back in the spring, and the recovered rose will look the same as the one you purchased.
Red Meidiland is a low-growing shrub rose with a creeping habit that is often grown as a ground cover. It typically grows with arching or cascading stems to 1.5 to 2 feet tall and spreads to 4 to 5 feet wide.
Meidiland roses are landscape and ground cover roses that come from Meidiland of France.
A groundcover of dark green and sparkling with red flowers!
