Nature Hills offers several varieties of Serviceberries since they grow in many heights and widths. The common characteristic of the serviceberry family is its beautiful, perfectly formed, 5 petaled, fragrant, white flowers. Blooming profusely during the spring, these beautiful flowers produce a small reddish-purple fruit that birds love; the Amelanchier species is great for wildlife aficionados. Serviceberries are also noted for their brilliant fall colors, and none are more striking than the Autumn Brilliance Serviceberry.
Serviceberries are easy to grow and need little extra care. They can tolerate some shade but will perform best in full sun. The reddish-orange fall leaves are large and reminiscent of the fall colors of a burning bush! Some serviceberries are labeled as trees because of the heights they attain. Yet, some are bushy types with many stems and a shorter stature. Either way, they are gorgeous when flowering and fit nicely in many landscapes.
