The Nikko Blue Hydrangea has blue blossoms on a plant with a strong constitution which make Hydrangea macrophylla 'Nikko Blue' one of the best. It is one of our most popular and bestselling hydrangeas. It will provide a fantastic show of color in your garden.

It will start blooming with flowers that are cream with blue with the margins then turning a solid blue mass as the plant matures and it will bloom all summer!

This hydrangea grows best in partial sun. Morning sun and afternoon shade is idea. The Nikko Blue performs best in acidic soil. Use these plants as foundation plants, borders, and as focus plants in your front yard.

The flower mops can get up to 6 inches long. If the blooms start turning pink, add Ferrous Sulfate to the soil. Flower color is determined by soil acidity. Rule of thumb: Acid soil-Blue flower, neutral soil-pink and blue flowers, alkaline soil-pink flowers.
