Hydrangea - Cherry Bomb
Long Blooming and Brilliant Fall Color
Hydrangea Cherry Bomb, Hydrangea macrophylla 'Cherry Bomb', is a red lace cap variety of hydrangea. It's an attractive and very free-flowering shrub with blooms lasting from midsummer to fall.
Cherry Bomb is a compact shrub with wrinkled, dense green foliage. The foliage provides outstanding fall colors from burgundy to purples.
As a young plant it is best to prune or pinch your plant in order to build a full bodied, well branched plant. The flower buds form in later summer and then flower the next year in early to mid summer, in other words, the best time to prune is after it blooms, from mid-July to mid-August.
Add the Cherry Bomb Hydrangea to your yard for long lasting blooms and a great pop of color.
