The Bluebeard Petit Blue, 'Caryopteris 'minibleu' petit bleu, a Proven Winners selection, is a compact Bluebeard shrub that has a very tight growth habit.
Petit Blue blooms from July through September. The short internodes result in spikes of purple flowers for an intense floral display.The flowers contast nicely with the dark green, glossy foliage.
The shrub matures to a 2'-2 1/2' compact mound if planted in full sun.
This plant is very attractive to butterflies.
You can plant this flower for a mixed border, a perennial bed or as part of a wildlife garden. Place in loose, well drained soil.
