Barberry - Korean
The Korean Barberry, Berberis koreana, is a dense, thorny plant useful for barrier planting. It displays small yellow flowers in hanging clusters in mid-spring and bright red berries in clusters in autumn. These berries may persist into winter. Korean Barberry has a wonderful, red, fall foliage color that will give you a colorful landscape!
It requires full sun to partial shade and tolerates a wide range of soils, except those that are overly wet. Light pruning may be needed to maintain good shape. Use in borders, as a barrier, a hedge, or as a specimen.
