Quick Overview

The Azalea Encore 'Autumn Rouge', Rhododendron Hybrid 'Conlea', displays 2" semi-double rose-red flowers that shine against the dark green foliage. Being an upright growing, drought tolerant azalea, it is very fitting in backgrounds or hedges. This rapid growing, repeat bloomer matures to a height of 4.5 feet with a spread of 4 feet. It is perfect for a low privacy hedge and adds color to an otherwise boring landscape. This is a hedge you can enjoy year-round and it doesn't need pruning or fertilizer. It also works well in foundation plantings and large containers or planters. As with most azaleas, this one prefers acidic, well-drained soil. Does not like wet feet. Will tolerate full sun, however, prefers some afternoon shade. Attracts butterflies.
