Azalea - Bloom-A-Thon™ - Red

The Azalea Red Bloom-A-Thon ™, Rhododendron hybrida 'Red', is an evergreen, disease resistant, reblooming azalea that creates a “Wow” reaction! It produces fantastic, brilliant red flowers that appear in April, then again in early July.

Amazingly, this Bloom-A-Thon red azalea continues blooming through fall until hard frost. The summer heat does not stop this Bloom-A-Thon!

This new shrub is clearly superior to older, weaker varieties, and the improvements are obvious: very easy growing, disease resistant, maintains excellent color year-round, and is a strong growing plant with lots of large blooms. Having a glossy dense, bushy and vigorous growth habit, this azalea is perfect for mass plantings, mixed borders, containers, as a specimen plant, and also for foundation plantings. It is best to prune to shape and fertilize after the first major spring bloom.

This plant is twice as nice as other azaleas because you don't have a week or two of beautifully colored flowers, but you can enjoy up to five months of blooms!
