Boxwood - Commones

Hardy Evergreen Perfect for Hedge or Topiary

Commones Boxwood is an evergreen shrub highly valued for its usefulness as a hedge.  This shrub is also ideal for topiary, makes a great border plant and is an excellent choice for foundation plantings.

If you’re looking for an evergreen shrub that is hardy and looks great all year-round, look no further!  Commones Boxwood may sound “common”, but there’s nothing common about it.  It’s an exceptional evergreen that maintains its color and will easily adjust to fit your landscaping needs.

Most people know Commones Boxwood as a small, densely-leaved, evergreen hedge.  It can mature to 15'-20 with an equal spread, but can be pruned as needed. It also can also be used as a large shrub or small tree.

This densely-branched shrub has small, smooth-edged leaves that are a shiny, dark green.  The vibrant foliage remains on the shrub all winter for enduring color in your yard even through the drab shades of winter.

One of the most valuable features of your Commones Boxwood is that it responds very well to harsh pruning so can easily be formed into almost any shape or size.

Your Commones Boxwood can grow up to 20 feet in height with an equal spread.  Left to grow naturally, it assumes a pleasing, rounded shape sure to present a lovely picture in your yard.  The one-inch long elliptical leaves emit a unique scent that many people enjoy.

If you’re interested in a hedge you can plant and forget, or an evergreen shrub that is amenable to shaping, you can’t go wrong with a Commones Boxwood.
