Baby Gem Boxwood

The Baby Gem Boxwood, Buxus microphylla var. japonica 'Greggem', is exceptionally compact boxwood that is excellent for use in smaller gardens.

This boxwood works great for borders and focal areas. This dwarf 'Baby Gem' provides a year round interest since it is densely branched and the abundant black-green foliage adds a distinctive note to the landscape and retains its color particularly well in winter; adds a giant presence to a detailed landscape.

'Baby Gem' is a miniature littleleaf boxwood that is an extremely compact broadleaf evergreen that slowly grows as tall as it is wide, reaching only 24 inches after 10 to 15 years; resembling a little green muffin.

This low growing plant with tiny leaves is deer resistant and tolerant of dry soils once established. 'Baby Gem' Boxwood flourishes in conditions of sun to partial shade.

The Baby Gem can be easily pruned and shaped.

Had my Baby Gem for years and still so compact and dark green. Carefree boxwood.
Deer resistant Review by Joanie J
Cannot plant anything around here without being deer resistant. They do not seem to bother the Baby Gem boxwood.
